Kikoy is a Swahili word meaning something to wrap around you.
Made from rectangular pieces of brightly colored soft fabrics, kikoys were traditionally worn by fishermen along the coast of Kenya and Tanzania. Women use the kikoy as a skirt. In the evening when it gets chilly the kikoy makes the perfect wrap.
A multi-purpose garment, kikoys now have many possible uses, such as body wraps, bathing suit cover-ups, beach or picnic blankets, baby blankets, or wrapped around the shoulders on cool days.
Varying multi-colored pieces in stock. The one you get will be randomly selected for you. What a fun surprise!
